Hi, Michael:

I agree that the ability to print existing exhibits and their accompanying data is, and ought to be, the first and primary focus. Beyond that, it is my opinion that the current Exhibit Log / Exhibit Manager design is not itself likely to be a positive factor in any improvements that might be made.

Of course, almost any rational design, even if not optimum, can be made more stable and more efficient. And you can always tack on more fields and provide differently sorted lists. I hope "more fields and more lists" isn't the approach that is taken.

Better yet, better place handling. Best, both....

Darrell

I have followed with interest (<grin> since I started some
of this) the discussion about the Wishes for new features
in an Exhibit Log. However, let us not forget the limits
that Jim first set on his request for comments. That was
not "new features" but "changes needed to make the existing
program features work better".

In all this discussion of "new features" and new fields,
I would hope we not lose sight of my wish to be able to
simply print/export the *existing* fields so that they
would be more useful.

Michael
