Just because you added more system memory does not mean a whole lot
more was available for video memory if the two are shared. There MAY be
a setting where you can increase the amount allocated to video, or it
may be automatic. It may also max out at a certain level but you would
have to examine your system to find out. You may also find that the
memory allocated to video is not being flushed properly, or that it is
not available in contiguous blocks. Also check and see when you added
memory that it is of the correct and matched type and speed.
