Hi, Judith:
The example was hypothetical. TMG does not store regular dates to hour precision, or at least not in a way that has been mentioned and that I recall.
If I have the exact time of an event and I want to record it, I will put it in the sentence memo. Putting it in the structured Tag date will make the date irregular, and I want to avoid that.

I have several birth certificates from the 1850's which actually state the
day and time of birth, and twins where the actual times of birth are given.
How should I correctly enter Monday the 21st May 1851 at 2.30 pm? I have been
putting this information into the memo field. Does TMG use a 12 or 24 hour
clock?
Many thanks
