You don't do a filter for the Pedigree Chart -- that just uses a single
person although you can limit the number of generations that the chart
produces.

The filter would be for a List of People report and then the Secondary
Output of that (Options windows) would be used to create a new data set
(may be only temporary). When the data set is created then you create the
Pedigree Chart from that data set since the data set would only contain
that one line.

Right. The Pedigree would also in a somewhat more graphic way.
