In my mind, what would be really great, functional design, would be
something like this:

1) Right click tag, menu pops up, choose "Copy Tag"

2) Dialogue appears. Instead of current "Do you really want to copy this
tag?"** box, we get:

Make an exact copy of this tag?

Number of copies: [ 1]

[Yes][No]

"Yes" and "1" would be default, so if you just want one copy the keystrokes
are no different than they are now. If you want more than one copy (which I
usually do), just type "3" or "5" or "15" or whatever and then Enter/Yes.
VoilĂ , multiple copies of the tag.

Strict text-entry only, or combo box (text-entry + drop down) makes little
difference to me, though I'm sure some would find a scroll/drop-down feature
preferable.

In a *perfect* perfect world, we could set a default number of our own, so
it would automatically ask if you wanted 3 or 5 copies or whatever.

** Note regarding #2 above: If we have to stick with the feature the way it
currently exists, can we please, for the love of sweet sweet mercy, get a
checkbox or preference option to turn off this confirmation box? It's
INCREDIBLY annoying. I was entering census tags for a large family the other
night -- Copy, confirm, Copy confirm copyconfirm ... 26 frelling clicks to
copy the bloody tag. I understand that not everyone would actually want the
copy made, but it's not *that* big a deal to delete an excess tag
accidentally copied (the option is on the right-click menu, after all) so
why make it so excrutiatingly difficult to copy one? AAAARRRRRRGGGHHH!

I just wish we could have an option to copy the tag more than once.
