Still hadn't seen a reply for you Bob, so I eventually got curious, given
that I'd never even looked at the Surname collapsed list sort before.
(I generally just use Surname sort unless working on specific filters etc.)

Switching to Surname collapsed list, with my current person being a YOUNG
resulted in a heap of +Surname entries, then what looks like ALL my YOUNGs
expanded out, (listed with forename first) then the rest of the surnames
beyond YOUNG (collapsed).

The behaviour you describe below (lists being cut short, PE showing + with
no names) sometimes happens when I've been working for ages, lots of things
open but usually clears after a restart of TMG, and/or a reboot.

I haven't seen any responses to my message shown below. Does the PE work
the same way for other users or am I the odd man out?

Bob

Subject: [TMG] Project Explorer Display

When using the PE "Surname collapsed list" sort, with no filter set, the PE
displays only about half of the people who should be displayed when I have a
large number of people with that surname. For example, it will display Addie
Ellis through James Ellis. If I switch to the "Surname" sort, the PE
displays Addie Ellis through Zachary Ellis. If I filter for Surname =
Ellis, it will display all 295 people in the Surname collapsed list. If I
cancel the filter, it goes back to displaying about half the people.

The problem exists with multiple surnames in the data set. Validating file
integrity has no affect.

I'm using WinXP and TMG 6.07. I have 1GB on RAM and ATI Radeon 9600 series
video card with 256 MB of RAM. The problem occurs following a system
restart with no other applications started so I don't think it is a
resources (memory) problem.

Am I missing a setting somewhere?
