If you open one of the other windows such as sibling or children so it is on top and close TMG the layout that was on sceen will be saved when you close TMG and will come up when TMG is repopened. That is the way TMG is programmed.
If you want the layout with Details on top, then before you exit TMG put Details on top. or go to the white space in the upper right corner. click on the arrow and select the layout you want.
