Yes, that is one way. In fact, _IF_ you absolutely must retain all the
remaining items on the Repeat list, that is the only way. But if you are
willing to forego the use of the Repeat Key list for a very short time, the
easiest was is to exit TMG, open Windows Explorer and navigate to the TMG
program folder [normally <C:\Program Files\The Master Genealogist>]. Find
the file with names that are named or have names that start with "REPEAT"
(REPEAT*.*) and delete these eight files. When you re-start TMG, these
files will be re-created -- although they will be empty until you have
entered unique data into one or more fields. Then you may begin using the
Repeat Keys [F3] and [CTRL]+[F3]again. Of course, the Repeat Keys will
only be as useful as the number of unique entries in the Repeat list. But
after the first few unique entries have been made, you will be "back to
normal" -- at least until you make an entry that should not be there again.

One way that an undesirable entry appears in the Repeat list is if you use
the [F2] search key to display the Picklist and select a misspelled entry
from there. In such a case, the Repeat list will again retain the entry
until cleared as in the paragraph above. To prevent a situation such as
this, you should open the Master Place List (MPL) (as in this case) and
correct the entry having the bad spelling. After the correction(s) are
made to the MPL, save the changes and exit the MPL. Then you should
optimize the Project files by selecting File=>Maintenance=>Optimize from
the Main Menu.

Hope this helps -
