I am not certain whether I am on the same thought as Bill Barnard but he has
started me off again
I like and utilize the "Short Place" in both TMG reports and in Second Site.
First I must define what exactly I mean because the term "Short Place"
appears to be used for more than one thing in TMG. I am referring to
Tools>Master Place List>Edit(one of the places)>Short place which is about
half way down. When I have Kirdford, Sussex, England I enter Kirdford, SSX,
ENG
so that this is what shows up rather than the longer "Kirdford, Sussex,
England"
My problem, and it may only be a problem for me, is that when I enter a new
place name on a tag there is no place to enter the "Short place". I have to
remember to open up the Master Place List, find the new entry and enter the
"Short place". If I am entering a lot of people as I am at this present
time, I quite often forget to do this and, therefore, I have constructed a
search filter which I use every so often to find those places whose "Short
place" is empty. Even so it is time consuming
My Wish List is simple: When I enter a new place on any tag can I please
also enter the "Short place" at the same time instead of having to remember
to go into the Master Place List, find the new place and then add the "Short
place"
