Wondering if any of you would like to critique my attempt at a citation for
a Canadian patent? I'm just getting the hang of this, but sure didn't see
any examples in either Cite Your Sources or Evidence.

FF: James Elliott, Granted Patent no. 21,669, July 24, 1883, Montreal,
Canada; photocopy, Canadian Intellectual Property Office, 50 Victoria
Street, Place du Portage, Phase 1, Gatineau, Quebec, K1A 0C9.

B: Canada, Gatineau. Granted Patent 1883. Canadian Intellectual Property
Office, 50 Victoria Street, Place du Portage, Phase 1, Gatineau, Quebec,
K1A0C9; no. 21,669.

FF: <[CD1]> [RECORD TYPE]<[CD2],> <[CD3]> [REPOSITORY], [REPOSITORY
ADDRESS].

SF: <[CD1]> [RECORD TYPE];< [CD2],>< [CD3]> [REPOSITORY].

B: [COMPILER ADDRESS], [CITY]. [REPOSITORY], [REPOSITORY ADDRESS].<;
[CD2]>.

I've made a tag called Patent: [P] was awarded a patent <for [M1]> <[D]>
<[L]>. Sentences are still somewhat tricky for me.

GGGrandfather James Elliott was listed as being a patentee of Grate Bars in
the 1897 Montreal Directory, which is how I found about about this and a
second patent.

I must say the folks at the Canadian Intellectual Property Office are
wonderful to deal with. Denis Daoust acknowledged my email promptly, found
the patents in just a few days, and the cost for copying and mailing was all
of $14 Canadian. Here's to hoping you all have a Denis Daoust at the next
government office you deal with.

Appreciate your guidance on this.
