I would suggest the purpose of the Descendants Indented Narrative (DIN)
report is not just for research. Not everyone uses the Journal Narrative
report style to produce family history books. Many family histories over
the years have been produced using the DIN style of report or with a slight
modification (usually removing the indentations). I known of at least one
750 page hand-typed 8x11 family history book was produced using the
un-indented report style using one of the Henry numberings system. Thus
placement of un-dated Tags may be significant.
