Neither Mills nor TMG have a Tax Digest example; did you use the Tax
Roll? And since the patent number and not the person is probably the
important item in searching for the patent, the should be first and not
the patentee.
The USA Used to assign a series of numbers to Patents pending (found an
article with patent pending and a number.) and separate series to
Patents. Canada may have just assigned a number for one series and
designated the, as Patents Pending and Patents Granted. I would use that
term with the patent Number.
