Bob,

I used the phrase of Mills' Tax Roll example. She listed a 1796 Tax Digest.
My mistake in terminology.

Good point on the order of search. I don't know one way or the other on the
numbering system, but from the photocopy it looks like the number is given
and then it is approved or denied.
