Matt,
Whether or not a Name tag memo appears in the sentence or in the footnote is
determined by a couple factors:
1) If the name tag sentence uses the [M] variable, then the memo will appear
in the sentence.
Failing that,
2) the TMG report option for memos determined the output location.
I am not sure if it varies by report type, but you usually have the option
to suppress the memo, append it to the end of the sentence, or show it as a
footnote. Based on what you wrote, it sounds like you have memos going to
the footnote.
I think the most straight-forward solution is to edit the name tag sentence
and include <[M]>.
