Personally, I like the way the "sort date" function currently works. I have
adapted my data entry to use it efficiently and easily. I use it for all my
burial records, because I don't want the actual date of burial to show a
date only the place. I also like being able to enter it as I am entering
data without going to my mouse. I'm a "typer" and every time I have to go
to the mouse, it slows me down. I can also sort the pick list using the
sort date if I choose which can sometimes be a useful tool. I also use it
extensively for birth dates of children when I don't know the actual date or
year. It not only places the child in the proper order (if I know the
order). I'm "old school" and not a big fan of "drop and drag" functions.
Earlier programs I used, before converting to TMG did not have this feature
and I was pleased to have it available to me in TMG.
