What I have done is create a couple of roles call CR|| and NO CR||. I then
from within the tag select the correctly formatted sentence and I do not get
an extra tag. The || indicates that I have a parenthetical at the beginning
of the sentence and the CR NO CR tells me the format.
I can get output that varies among:
Option 1: (my standard "Principal" sentence.)
[:CR:][:CR:]He was a farmer in Iowa in 1870.
Option 2:
[:CR:][:CR:]At the time of the enumeration, he was a farmer in Iowa.
Option 3: (links with the sentence before it in the narrative)
At the time of the enumeration, he was a farmer in Iowa.
As you can see I use roles, at least in this case, primarily to format my
sentences not to create separate sentences for folks, Keeps the number of
tags lower.
