Not really part of this thread but can I make a suggestion? Why in the
world are you making so many backups of your project? The space it must be
taking up on your hard drive, not to mention the time it is wasting.
If you go to File > Preferences > Programme Options > Startup and Edit >
During Exit, you then have the option to turn off "Prompt to save layout" and
"Prompt for backup".
Just remember then to backup your work by using File > Backup once at the
end of the day if you feel that you must, or after a particularly long and
intensive session of editing or imput
