The monthly meeting of the Roots Users Group of Arlington, Virginia,
will be held Saturday, April 8, 2006.

The 9:00 AM tutorial will be "Miscellaneous Basic Features of TMG" by
Carol Whitton.

The 10:30 AM session will be "Creating a CD for a Family Group" by
Carol Whitton. A Q&A session will follow each session.

Handouts from presentations at the RUG meetings are available on RUG's
website.

The meeting will be held at the Community Room of the Interstate
Worldwide Relocation Building (otherwise known locally as Interstate
Van Lines) located at 5801 Rolling Road in Springfield, VA, just south
of the CSX railroad tracks. Check the RUG's website,
www.rootsusers.org, for a map and written directions.

[From the Capital Beltway (I-495) take Exit 54 West, Braddock Road.
Continue on Braddock Road (Rt. 620) to Rolling Road. Turn left at
Rolling Road (Rt. 638). Continue on Rolling Road approximately 1.5
miles to Morrissette Drive (just beyond the spot where Rolling Road
passes over the railroad track), and turn left. Interstate Van Lines is
on the left-hand side of Rolling Road.]

The program of the ROOTS Users Group of Arlington (RUG) is for you if
you are using, or plan to use, The Master Genealogist, Family Tree Super
Tools, or Ultimate Family Tree or any of its predecessors (ROOTS III,
IV, V, Visual Roots, or Family Gathering) as your computer program to
record your genealogical research.

The RUG usually holds its monthly meeting/workshop on the second
Saturday of each month, except when announced otherwise. Experienced
users are there to respond during the workshop /Q&A period. Workshops
and meetings are open to the public and admission is free.

Membership in the RUG is open to anyone interested in genealogical
computing. Annual dues are $15 per person/couple, and include a
subscription to the monthly RUG newsletter. A sample of the front page
of our newsletter can be found by clicking on menu item "Our Newsletter"
at www.rootsusers.org. Anyone wishing to join the ROOTS Users Group of
Arlington, VA, should send a check (made payable to R.U.G) to P. O. Box
100082, Arlington, VA 22210-3082, together with your name, address,
telephone number, and E-mail address. You may also join online with a
credit card or Pay Pal account.

The next meeting will be held on May 13, 2006, at the Community Room of
the Interstate Van Lines. The 9:00 AM tutorial will be "Filter Basics"
by Janis Rodriguez. The 10:30 AM session will be "Favorite Filters and
Flags" by Janis Rodriguez..
