I prefer all my people (43000 plus) in a single data set. In my
opinion, it is the best way to work. I have found many family
connections in what were thought to be un-related families and it is
much each to connect them using a single data set.

As for comparing two family groups side by side, TMG provides for
this whether the families are in a single data set in one project, in
multiple data sets in one project or in data sets in different
projects. With TMG, you may (depending on your computer resources)
have multiple copies of the program running at the same time. One
session of TMG can have a project open while the other may have the
same or a different data set open at the same time. If you want to
have both sessions open and side by side, just select to have an
appropriate Layout so that the two program sessions may be positioned
side by side.

A sample Side-by-Side Layout is available on the TMG Tips web site at
<http://www.tmgtips.com/tmgw_v510.htm#LAYOUTS>;. See the discussion
of Layouts on the web site (URL below).

Hope this helps -
