I know this has been discussed numerous times, but--- I also prefer to
have my main data in one data-base. I have experimented with multiple
databases but always come back to using the large original one (65,000
individuals). I do create separate projects and databases when I am
looking at data from only one geographical area. I.E. identifying everyone
who lived in a certain township or area in a unique census. I then transfer
any pertinent information to the main file.

As an ongoing project, I am identifying my ancestors and thoe of my husband
and now my son-in-law and his family (for our grandchildren). We have
numerous lines that join somewhere along the way, even though one family
settled in the Virginia Colony and most of the others in New England.
