It would be usually the address of the last mailing of benefits. At least
that's what I've proven on many in my family lines. One example: My
paternal grandmother died in a nursing home in a different county than what
was listed (my dads home).

Do be careful in using the Last Residence. In my experience, it is often
wrong -- three out of four of my aunts show incorrect places. In fact one of

them has a town and state named as last residence that my aunt left 11 years

before she died.
