Donna: The address given is the address the Social Security
Administration has for the deceased person. It probably has nothing to
do with where the checks are sent, because there are no checks -
everything is direct deposit (they insist on it!). Above, the address
given is NOT the place of death.
In your case, your grandmother moved to the nursing home and continued
to list her address as that of her husband - which seems natural to me.
