Donald,

You were right all along, Donald. The reason I got the "wrong" results can
be traced back to the nut behind the keyboard who didn't realize the
"Descendants" box was Checked at the bottom of her filter screen. Once she
noticed it and unchecked it the filter you describe worked perfectly. Again,

I am using father-stp.

Run #1 - with Child ID NE 0

lists all children who have a stp father

Run #2 - with Parent ID ne 0

lists all step parents
