Subject: v6.09 - Bugger of a Bug with F7
Date: Fri, 2 Jun 2006 09:04:25 -0500

I've been wanting to report this for several days but wanted to first try to
determine how and why it occurs. I have not, so I I'll post it out without
further delay. Please bear with me as I attempt to explain in my native
language, English. <g>

The Visual Symptoms:
1. You notice a change in font face in a memo's text window (after using
F7). The font may appear different or it may just appear bolder (I suppose
depending on your font settings in Preferences). For me, it appears bolder.
This also applies to editing a Master Tag Sentence using F7.
2. In a Tag Memo window (after F7) you will suddenly see formatting codes
such as [ITAL:][:ITAL] or [BOLD:][:BOLD] which you would not normally see if
you use CTRL-I or CTRL-B to format text.
3. If you have Preferences > Options > Colors > Lists CUSTOM color set to
any color other than white, you will notice the Memo Window (after F7) will
all-of-a-sudden be White instead of your custom color.

When these visual symptoms occur, beware. Memo text entered from the F7
window will not (or at least usually will not) 'stick' once the F7 window is
closed.

I've found that closing TMG usually (not always) resets the problem. When it
doesn't, I reboot. I've also found that edits to the memo text *will* stick
when the bug is present if you do *not* open the F7 window.

Sheesh, I hope that made sense.

Linda
