Yes, those would be on my wish list, too.

Linda, thanks for spelling them out so clearly!

Subject: WISH LIST

FTR, FWIW --

The top items on my Wish List do not ask for additional features but rather
beg for some things that seem 'wrong' to be righted. The first two require
TMG to get just a little dumber; the last two require TMG to get just a
little smarter. <g>

#1: I want control of the ending punctuation of a tag
sentence (i.e. all tags, including Name tags)
#2: I want to eliminate the automatic "There were no children
of" sentence (which is wrong more often than it's right)
#3: I want TMG to let me end a tag sentence with [:CR:]
without having the period and footnote/endnote number
appear on the next line
#4: I want to get rid of the automatic, leading <space> which
precedes the colon and semi-colon if placed as the
leading character inside conditional brackets

Since #1 is already being considered, and since #2 and #3 are probably just
pipe dreams, maybe I should elaborate on #4. I *really* don't understand why
TMG should treat a colon and semi-colon any differently than it treats a
comma or period ...

This is the tag sentence text<. [M1]>
This is the tag sentence text<, [M2]>
This is the tag sentence text<: [M3]>
This is the tag sentence text<; [M4]>

becomes:

This is the tag sentence text. It's correct.
This is the tag sentence text, and it's also correct.
This is the tag sentence text : it's incorrect.
This is the tag sentence text ; it's also incorrect.

This has been mentioned before on this list, and it seems like it _should_
be a _relatively_ easy fix. So why is it still 'broken' in v6.09??

Linda
