Lee et al,

Step 3 of the Backup Wizard has a checkbox for "External Exhibits". If
checked, TMG will include external exhibit files in the backup. If that is
unchecked, it won't. So yes, external exhibits can be backed up, but you
don't have to include them. I don't. I think the default is checked.

In all cases, the contents of the exhibit table are always backed up. The
exhibit table is where TMG stores things like captions and other information
about the exhibit.

For an _internal_ image exhibit, the exhibit table includes the actual
binary data that represents the image, so internal exhibits will always be
backed up. No choice.

For an _external_ image exhibit, the exhibit table does not have the binary
data that represents the image; it has only the filename/filepath to the
document, i.e., "c:\pictures\uncle_bill.jpg".
