Why don't you isolate the offending individuals in their own special project and then using the new project try again.
If you still encounter the problem, send a backup of the new project to WhollyGenes and explain to them what you are encountering.
Would suspect WhollyGenes wants their program to work properly and with its not working properly for any reason, they would want to determine what the exact problem is so they can add code to prevent it from happening for you now, and in the future for potentially other users.
Just a suggestion.

Thanks again, Lee. In response to your suggestions:
>> KS 1st said: I also discovered that the Individual Narrative Preview
wouldn't work for >another person.
> LH then said: Hmm, what Tags are common or similar between the two
persons? Possibly a number -- especially the usual Tags. I would now look
at each Tag for each of these two persons and compare the entries with a
similar non-problem person.
KS - Other than my census tags, these two have the usual birth, marriage,
children, and death tags. I use a general Event-Misc tag for most other
purposes. There isn't anything unusual I can see comparing them to other
people in my project.
> LH said: Something that I would try and don't recall if you said you had
is to run the File=>Maintenance=>Validate File Integrity function. Try this
first, then try the others above.
KS - Yes, I have tried all the usual maintenance and validations routines. I
have also deleted and redefined the report definitions.
> LH said: Oh, one other thing, do you have a Memo field (Tag or Source)
that contains an External File? That is, the first character of the field
has an Exclamation Mark followed by a file path and file name? If so, then
this may be the problem. Such files should be plain text and if they were
created in a word processor may contain non-printing formatting codes that
TMG does not recognize. I would always suggest that you use a text editor
(TMG's own or NOTEPAD) rather than a word processor. You can use the word
processor if you are careful to save the file in plain text only.
KS - No, there are no External Files in my project yet. And I either create
text right in TMG or use the paste unformatted text option.
> LH said: If you still have the problem, I suspect that there is a bad
entry in one Tag. Try deleting one Tag at a time and re-enter that data.
If you use copy/paste, paste it somewhere else first and then copy/paste it
from there to the new Tag.
KS - Haven't specifically redone each tag, but I did delete the tags from
Sarah one at a time until I was down to just her parents and children. The
report never worked.
It's still a puzzlement ... Kay Schmidt
