Anne, I use an Individual Detail report for this. It requires printing a
report for each ancestor (instead of an ahnentafel that would catch
everyone) but it's not much more difficult. I'm not sure how you have yours
set up, but mine is basically just an ID for the selected person with only
the census tags selected and embedded memos. Since M1 in my census tags is a
transcription, that prints out the tag and the record. And since I use
census pseudo-people as P2, I can print out a list of everyone in a given
census by doing an ID report on that census "person." If you wanted reports
for each direct ancestor, I imagine you could just generate the ID for
everyone in a focus group or filter on a custom flag.

Subject: [TMG] Census report
I would like to print an Ahnentafel report which would include all of the
census on each person. I have a census statement for a single person which
is just "census" and another sentence which has the year attached for each
"head of house" and "house member." Those will print "1850 census," "1860
census" etc. The problem is that I can only get the primary to print even
though I have a different name for each census year. How can I make a
report that lists all the census I have for each direct ancestor?
