In a single session of TMG, you cannot open two projects at the same
time. But you can open the same or a different project in other
sessions of TMG (open TMG again). In most cases, I use my
Side-by-side Layout but I can (with multiple monitors use my usual
Layout and switch betwen sessions or have one of the sessions on the
second monitor.

>(and safest) way to handle this.

As Terry explained, there is no "save" in database programs as the
saving of data is automatic as you enter the data and click on the
[OK] button. Thus when you exit TMG (a single session or a second or
other session) the data was already saved. By exiting, you are just
telling TMG that some administrative files are no longer needed and
may be discarded. These administrative files are transparent to your
use of TMG and only serve to speed up things.

Same thing applies. As Terry explained, if you have two copies of
the same project open (e.g., two sessions) and try to open that same
record in both sessions at the same time, one will open and the other
will not allow being opened in an editable mode.

Like Terry again, I am unsure. I have not tested this with Layouts
that use greater that one monitor. On the other hand, I will
occasionally spread one session across to the second monitor I
probably should create a Layout for this purpose but I do this so
infrequently and in so varied a way that I haven't bothered.

If you are having difficulties expanding a TMG session across to the
second monitor, then reduce the TMG window size to less that full
screen (click on the middle button in the upper right corner). Now,
you can drag the right side of the window to the other monitor.

Hope this helps -
