My only word of advice (and I am still evaluating a comprehensive backup
strategy - I am listening, Terry <G>). Alternate backups to more than one
medium. My 7 month old external drive had a head crash about 45 days ago,
and last week the drive where my projects reside crashed. Fortunately, I
had been backing both up to a second internal hard drive, and could restore
a project backup less than 2 weeks old. But it has been a powerful lesson.

Subject: [TMG] External Hard Drives
Hello All, I am contemplating storing all of my families history on an
external hard drive as I have had two crashes and was close to losing
information that I could not have replaced. Are there any tips I should be
aware of before proceding. Tks- Wayne
