Terry and John,
I just want to let you know, that I was finally able to filter the PE for the Gedcom excluding the living. I was mistakely using the "binoculars" to highlight the names (which did not work) instead of going to Window , Project Explorer. I also changed my filter to Living EQ N and I downloaded the latest version of TMG.
Again thank you.

Terry and John,
I feel priviledged to have the experts answering my question, thank you!
Terry, I only have one dataset opened.
I have tried again and it seems that when I am in PE and I click on the first name and SHIFT and click on the last name all the names, the process does not work, all the names are not selected, I only end-up with the last name. I am working with version 6.07.
John, I will try your recommendation Living equal 'N'.
I am fairly new with TMG (I switched from UFT), and I am aware of your utility program, but I am afraid to try again something new.
If I download the TMG Utility does the program automatically opens with TMG or will I need to open both programs?
Thank you again,
Anne-Marie Jensen-Ellis

The flag has a value of "Y" - not "Yes." Your filter should be collecting everyone, living or not. > I have selected on OK, > Save as: peoplenqyes.flt > Load > I do obtain an "Expanded Picklist Filtered (2612 names) I > select the first name SHIFT click to the last name. > > Now I do an Export to create the Gedcom, but in the > "export what people" I select "selected people on Project > Explorer" I get the message "There are no people selected > in the PE" > What am I missing? The Project Explorer is still open, right? And the people are still selected in it, right? Do you have more than one
data set in the project? If so, I suspect the data set selected at Step 4 of the export wizard is not the same one as the selected people in the PE. Terry Reigel
