I have used external drives to allow me to work from home on my job for
about 5 years. Because I move the drive each day via briefcase, they only
last for about 1-1.5 years. If this is a drive that you won't move, you
will probably get more life from them. Since the cost is so low these days,
they provide a good value.

Subject: [TMG] External Hard Drives
Hello All, I am contemplating storing all of my families history on an
external hard drive as I have had two crashes and was close to losing
information that I could not have replaced. Are there any tips I should be
aware of before proceding. Tks- Wayne
