Hello

I have had a couple of fatal error messages today come up out of the blue as
follows;

1.The error message came up while I was completing a merge of (2)
database. This was after I had deleted the successful merge file, and
allowed TMG to do the optimize.

Fatal error: Exception code=C0000005 @ 2006/10/02 01:38:22 PM. Error log
file: C:\WINDOWS\system32\vfp7rerr.log

Called from - reindexdataset5 line 0 { dsutils.fxp}

Called from - frmdsmanager.unload line 0 { }

Called from - tmgmain line 0 { c:\program files\the master
genealogist\tmg.exe}

2.The second error came up after I had re entered all of the data that
I had lost due to the previous error message. I had successfully deleted the
merge file and allowed the automatic optimize. This error occurred after I
had carried out the import of a new Gedcom file and had amended the source
and place details and then carried out an optimize.

Fatal error: Exception code=C0000005 @ 2006/10/02 05:51:38 PM. Error log
file: C:\WINDOWS\system32\vfp7rerr.log

Called from - reindexdataset5 line 0 { dsutils.fxp}

Called from - menuobjtmg.moptimize line 0 { }

Called from - ON... line 0 { }

Called from - tmgmain line 0 { c:\program files\the master
genealogist\tmg.exe}

The amount of data I had lost was trivial as I had backed up the night
before.

I have decided to remove the full install of any TMG files and re install
from the Whollygenes web page a fresh install with no updates thinking that
the automatic updates may have missed something. I have been doing automatic
updates since early version 5.

Can you tell me if this may fix the problem, or will it still occur?

Regards

Keith Skinner

PS. Keep up the good work with this excellent software program.
