Whatever character you used to create the "paragraph" in PAF
is likely the "illegal character". Memo fields in TMG are single
strings, to get a "paragraph" one has to embed a formatting code;
which is text -- from the TMG help file:

Carriage Return
[:CR:]
This code inserts a carriage return (new line) at the specified location.
NOTE: In a Sentence field, you cannot use the <Enter> key to create a
carriage return. It will be stripped out when you close the window.
You must use this code if you want a carriage return in a Sentence field.
