Perhaps I said this wrong. The dates themselves are just fine. It is the
order of the "Elapsed time fields; days, months, years". They almost
never occur in that order when printed. I never saw a grave marker that
said "Aged 3 days, 11 months and 57 years". I have only seen the age the
other way around. And because of that, that's how I want to enter it
into the calculator. Every time I have used it, I put in years, months,
days and then have received a computed date that is so far off it is
obviously wrong. What the heck? Then I have to go back and do the whole
thing again which is really frustrating.

I wrote my comment about that after the first message arrived and before
yours did. Point taken.

I didn't know about the Age column but when I went in and turned it on,
it didn't do the trick. It was only the age in years.

Here is an example of how I used the date calculator in Family Origins
before I switched to TMG. I was fairly young when my son was born and I
wanted him to know what it was like having a child at a young age. I
took his birthday and subtracted mine from it, giving my age at the time
he was born. Then I took that age and added it to his birthday to
determine what date he would be the same age as me the day he had been
born. I called him that morning and told him that if he were me, his son
would be born that day. I have done this with many calculations; the age
my dad was when he died compared to my age, etc.

The Date Calculator simply does not yield elapsed time between dates and
for me, that is how I use a date calculator the most.
