Subject: [TMG] Advice on how to transfer information between 2 TMG Users

I am a Genealogist for the Wing Family of America, Inc. [WFA] My principal duty is to maintain and build a genealogy database, with which I use TMG (version 6.11). Recently an Assistant Genealogist has been appointed to help me with this task. He is also using TMG version 6 (He just recently purchased it and I am not certain which sub-version he currently has).

Our plan was for him to manually input data that he has found from sources and send them to be (hopefully via e-mail). At the present time, the Wing family database is so large that even the backup (.sqz) file is over 20MB. My e-mail service has a 20MB attachment limit, so we cannot send this file to each other via e-mail.

I know that TMG has the ability to create multiple datasets within each project. I was wondering if we can use this feature to our advantage. For example, would it be possible for him to place all new information in a new dataset and then create a backup file for ONLY that dataset? If so, would I be able to add that dataset to my existing project and then later merge (either manually or automatically) the information into the primary dataset?

Would appreciate other suggestions on how to accomplish this. I consider myself fairly computer-literate, but still do not comprehend some of the advance features of TMG.
