Cute story, Linda. I actually did bring a green garden snake inside in
a pot plant one fall. He got scared, slithered out and ran under the
microwave while I was watering the plant in the sink. I was able to
catch him and put him outside before he hurt himself or anybody else.
I'm not nearly that casual with the water moccasins and copper heads
that live around here. Some say there are timber rattlers in this part
of the country but I've never seen one in the wild even when I used to
squirrel hunt and run trap lines with my brother in Red River Co.
