Jim
I had forgotten all about the man who came by for the slop, and the one on
the grater too.. I remember down on short davis street, just down the hill
from you guys, how cold it would get in the winter too.. mother would have so
many blankets on the bed you could not turn over and then you were afraid to,
because it was so cold any place other than right where you body was..I
remember when we got electric blankets though, now that was some good
sleeping!!
Did you guys ever come down and slide down that huge hill in front of where
Mrs Barton and our Granny Slaton lived? When it snowed we got card board
boxes or anything else we could find and slide down it in the snow.Every time
we go back, we all have to drive by to see that huge hill in front of that
house.. its so funny, because that hill is so tiny.. We all cant decide if it
has washed away, or if it really wasnt ever very big, other than in ours
minds..
