When my husband, Bill, was in Korea, he made snow ice cream in his helmet. He used things from his C ration including cocoa powder to make chocolate ice cream. Many Marines had never seen or eaten ice cream made with snow. But practically everyone had a messy helmet after that. PAT SHIVELY ELMORE
