Does anybody remember putting "belly bands" on newborn babies. And
giving them catnip tea to make them break out in hives, the theory being
that if the hives "went in on them" it would make them sick. I did the
belly band thing but refused the catnip tea that my old aunt brewed up.
It sure hurt her feelings because I wouldn't let her give it to my baby.
She said later, "You shore are lucky that thar chile ain't dead, the way
you wont listen to nobody".
