Kiddy,

If you still have the time to look, Do you find any Bell marriages prior to 1800 in Rockbridge Co?

Thanks in advance,
Vince

The only material I have on Rockbridge is the book of marriages from 1778 to
1850, and I am glad to do lookups in it. I am sorry I don't have any information
on burials.

Are you still doing lookups for Rockbridge County, Virginia?

I am looking for the burial places of Isaac Lawson and his wife Agnes
"Nancy" Lawson.

Isaac Lawson died after 25 Aug 1820, date if us will and before 21 Oct 1821,
the date his estate was presented in court.

Agnes "Nancy" Lawson died after 04 Feb 1822 when her dower rights were
determined and before 03 May 1824, the day her children sold her land to pay
for Isaac's depts.

Their daughter Jane R. Lawson never married and may have been the only child
to have remained in Rockbridge after their parents died.? The children we
know very little about are: their sons are? Isaac? Jr., David, James, and
Andrew K. Lawson and their daughters, all married in Rockbridge,
Rebekka who married William Hatton, Isabella married Daniel McKeeman;
Elizabeth married John Murphy; and Agnes "Nancy" married Samuel Miller.

The son, Robert Lawson, who is my ancestor, married Margaret Hicks, daughter
of Joshua Hicks and Jean Chambers, moved to Jackson Co., TN in 1813 and
raised his family there.

Thank you for your assistance.

Barbara Lawson Shackelford
Tennessee
