My gr gr grandfather Allen Graves has me totally mystified. I have traced
down several Allen Graves who don't seem to fit. I now have scant
information about a "new" Allen Graves, 4th son of ----Graves
who married Lavisa Reed. They lived in Rutland, Rutland Co., VT.
Allen was born shortly after 1801. His siblings were Lewis; Henry R., born
1800, m. Betsey Tomlinson, d 1849; John b 1801, m(1) Julia Ann----,
m(2)Theda Jane----,d. 1863; ALLEN; Sybil, m Chandler Fisher, lived in
Auburn, Cayuga co.. NY; Curtis; George; and Lavisa, m. Thomas Borden. Can
anyone tell me if THIS Allen Graves married Mahalia Hays (both born in
Vermont) and fathered Thaddeus W. Graves, my gr grandfather? TIA Lorraine
