In pitsford Cemetary:

Nathan Jenner, aged 43, died 1824
This hallowed spot has proved the home
of one who bright in science shone
I saw him on that fatal night
With Visage clothed in purest light
And when life had fled I saw him rise
To brighter worlds beyond the sky.

(contributed by Mary E. Farrel, Burlington)

In Stowe:

The body that lies buried here
By lightning fell, death's sacrifice,
To him Elijah's fate was given
He rode on flames of fire to heaven.

Here lies the bodyof old Uncle David,
Who died inthe hope of being sa-ved.
Where he's gone or how he fares,
Nobody knows and nobody cares.

Stay, reader, drop upon this stone
One pitying tear and then be gone;
A handsome pile of flesh and blood
Is sunk here down in its first mud.

My wife from departed
And robbed me like a knave;
Which caused me broken hearted
To sink into this grave.
My children took an active part,
To doom me did contrive;
Which stuck a dagger in my heart
What I could not survive.

I was somebody
Who?
Is no business
of yours.

In Rochester:

Nathan Kendall
Here lies old Nathan K. and his wife,
Who always lived in contention and strife,
But now they are dead no one will deny,
But what they lie snug as two pigs in a sty.
