"Wend Sat, Nov. the 8, 1926; District met according to
appointment. Voted that a school be kept ensuing to begin
the 11 of Septembere to be continued two months and a half.
Voted to git half a cord of wood fit fore the fire per scollar to
be delivered at the school house by the 20 of December next."
"John Cameron bid all the wood that is not on the ground
by that time for 45 cents per cord. Voted that this meeting be
disolved."
"Mar.11, 1828; District met according to appointment.
Voted that six feet of wood per scholar be provided in a
season for the school. Voted that we have three months
of school in the summer and three in the winter."
"Nov. the 10th, 1828. District met according to appointment.
Chose Howard Carpenter for moderator. Vote to hire a master
and to keep the school this winter. Voted that the school
house be repaired. Voted that the repairs be done by the
highest bidder. H. Carpenter bid off the above for $1.17.
Voted that a committee of two inspect the job.
Voted H. Carpenter be the inspector of the wood to be
cordid up at the schoolhouse.
Voted that the district rais money buy subscription towards
building a new house."
"March the 17, 1829. District met according to appointment.
Voted there be a summer school of three months. Voted that if
there is not enough money raised by subscription to build the
house that the district rais more by tax on the grand list to finish
the house. Voted that those who have subscribed their protion
to be deducted out of their tax.
Voted that Calep Bachelor have the privalege of schooling
his schollars to this school on condition that he pays proportion-
able part of the tax."
"December the 11, 1829. District meeting according to
appointment. Voted that there be two months schooling this
winter. Voted that the master be boarded among the schollars.
Voted that the wood be on the ground before the 19 of this
month those that do not bring wood before said time, H.
Carpenter is to git it for which they are to pay him one dollar a cord.
