A man who lived a few miles from North Ferrisburg Post
Office went in for his mail. Said he to the postmaster, "Pa
wants a letter from Middlebury." The postmaster knowing
that he could not determine for himself whether there might
or might not be a letter from Middlebury said, " Watson,
your father does not have a letter from Middlebury but does
have several other letters. You had better take all the mail."
"Nope", Came the hasty reply. "Pa wants a letter from
MIddlebury." And he walked out and went home.
