John Wesley PEABODY b. 25 Oc 1825, Fairfax, Franklin Co, VT m. Hannah F.
SCHOOLCRAFT b. 26 May 1829. They m. 13 Jan, 1849, Chicopee, NY. Hannah's
obit states that she was born in Fairfax, Canada. On census records, it
states she was b. Canada East.

My question - would anyone know if there is a Fairfax, Canada along the
VT border? Should I assume this to be a mistaken memory by informant for
the obit? I am trying to place the Schoolcraft family in specific area
of Canada. Obviously near border, as children born back and forth -
Canada & VT.

I'd like to make contact with others researching PEABODY or SCHOOLCRAFT
