I am trying to find information on my grgrandfather.
He was supposedly born Sheldon,Vt. ca.1827
Died Aug.06,1893 @ Cambridge,Ma.buried in Franklin,Vt.Obituary,Cambridge
Chronicle,Aug.12,1893 gave age as 66.
Death cert. says he was a horse dealer.
Cambridge city directory says he was a foreman.
Married Delight Brown,unknown,where or when.She supposedly died from afall
from a horse.
There were 5 children.
William H.McKenney (my grandfather)b.07/01/1870-d.09/17/1942. The other 4
were
Volley;Frank E.;Harriet G.;and Lillian A.We have no info. on any of them.
I do plan on a trip this Spring to Sheldon Vt. and surrounding areas for
research including Stanbridge PQ.There are family stories of land grants
etc.Unknown if Loyalist or patriotic Amer.
I am just trying to break this wall,would appreciate
any and all help.Also,since I'm new at this any tips on what to do,or what
to look for this Spring will be appreciated.
