Subject: [VT-L] Where to find a will
Date: Mon, 3 Jan 2000 19:44:30 -0500

Hi List,

I have a question for all the experts. If your ancestor was born in NH,
possibly married in Canada and you know for fact he bought land and had
several children in Canada, then, after the death of his wife, moves back to
the US but now lives in VT and that is where he dies, where would one look
for his will and probate? Vermont? He died in Wolcott, Lamoille County or
in Canada? He was living is South Stukely, Shefford, Quebec, Canada. I
would like to find his will if there was one or a record that says he died
intestate. I suspect there was a will because his son, born in Canada, also
married up there in the same town. This has always confused me when more
than one state or country was involved.

Thank-you for all your help and advise.

Sue
