March 21, 1906 - A man by the name of Alex McDONALD was killed last week
in the woods on Paul Stream by a tree falling on him. He was buried in
the Bloomfield Cemetery.

April 29, 1908 - George WALLING died April 25th. He was the son of
Heben and was born in Bloomfield on April 25, 1832. On January 13, 1868
he married Harriet MARTIN, daughter of Ezra and Eliza (BADGER) MARTIN.
He is survived by three children, Wilson W., Goerge L., and William G.
He owned a sugar orchard of 400 trees and resided on Road 8.

May 20, 1908 - Ray Fuller sold is farm to Thomas Short.

June 17, 1908 - Miss Belle MADIGAN and Mrs. Maggie WOODS were called
here last week to attend the funeral of their brother, Will, who was
killed here in town while working on the road. He was crushed by a
large rock which rolled onto him in a gravel pit. He was 55 and
unmarried.

JULY 15, 1908 - Frank GENDRON of Bloomfield lost his life at Coos Sunday
while attempting to leap from a moving train at the Grand Trunk
Station. He stepped on the train to say farewell to a friend and after
the train started attempted to jump off but was caught and fell under
the wheel. He is mourned by a widow and four sons and one daughter.

August 26, 1908 - Samuel O. SCHOFF of Bloomfield died Saturday evening,
August 22 at his home. He was born in Bloomfield February 8, 1841 and
has lived here ever since. He has always been a successful farmer but
during the operations of the Nulhegan Lumber Company worked as scaler
and marker for many years. He was a veteran of the Civil War, enlising
in the 5th Vermont Regt., March 22, 1865.

OCTOBER 14, 1908 - Ray FULLER leaves this week for Cuba, where he
intends to sojourn for his health. He returns with Charels PRESBY,
formerly of Bloomfield who is an extensive grower of fruit in Cuba,
where he has lived for the past five years.

April 28, 1909 - Buy your millinery goods of Mrs. S. I SWEET, Bloomfield
at bottom prices.

August 4, 1909 - Lewis TITUS, one of the oldest residents of this
community died at his home in South Bloomfield Thursday morning. He was
born in Waterford, Vermont, March 8, 1834 and moved here while a small
child (near Duval's).

August 11, 1909 - George VAN DYKE, the "Lumber King of New England" was
killed in an auto accident at Thinus Falls, Mass. His auto, driven by
his chauffeur, died, plunged over a rocky cliff on August 8th.

January 4, 1911 - Mrs. Margaret Parent, widow of the late Joseph PARENT
and one of Bloomfield's oldest residents, died at her home last Monday
morning and was buried from the Catholic Church Wednesday morning.
Reverend Father GUAY officiating. Mrs. PARENT was 82 years of age and
was one of Bloomfield's most respected residents.

January 11, 1911 - Stewart Holbrook of White River Junction has been
visiting relatives in town this past week.

February 1, 1911 - Mrs. Emma Gendron of town died at her home last
Monday afternoon of pneumonia. She was ill but a few days. Mrs.
Gendron was 56 years old and leaves one daughter, four sons, one sister
and one brother.

June 21, 1911 - Jesse CASS recently purchased an automobile.

April 17, 1912 - The community was saddened last Thursday by the death
of Mr. Joseph LOMBARD of Bloomfield, one of the oldest and most honored
of her citizens. Mr. Lombard had been ill for several weeks and finally
succumbed to a valvular disease of the heart. He was born in St.
Francis, P.Q., March 15, 1831 and removed to Waterville, Maine with his
parents when only 2 years old. He lived in Maine until 1861 when he
moved to Bloomfield. He married Miss Angeline Batlaeu of Saco, Maine on
August 2, 1859. he was a carpenter and millwright by trande and was in
the employ of the Nulhegan Lumber Co., for many years. He leaves a wife
and daughter to mourn his death.

January 8, 1913 - Ayers TRUFANT, a long time resident here, died at his
home in Lisbon, NH at 74. he leaves a widow and 3 children, 2 sons in
Maine and a daughter, Mrs. Floyd SCHOFF, who lives in Bloomfield.

August 6, 1913 - I sell ice cream at the Bloomfield town hall every day
except Sunday. Sherbet, Monday and Friday. Mrs. Herman COOPER.

November 26, 1913 - Melvin FULLER and Eddie Couture recently shot a fine
black bear near their camp at North Pond..
