My earliest Ward is John Ward born May 12, 1795 somewhere in SC. He married Ibby Wimms (Winn, Weems) in Jackson Co, GA in 1819. Later died in what is now Cullman Co, AL (sometime in mid 1850's).
His two oldest sons, Samuel Green Ward, and Oliver John Ward came to MS territory. They lived in and around Pike, and Marion Co, MS. Later received land in Attala Co, MS.
Thanks,
Gigi

The only information I have about my "Ward" is James Ward married to a
Eliza Jane Conerly (b. abt 1845 im Mississippi and died in 1925, Pike
County, MS). She was widowed from James Ward and later married a
Brumsfield and a Lewis before passing away.
I hope someone can connect.
Thanks, Betty
